NEGIN NIKAHD, O.D.

Negin Nikahd is a licensed therapeutic optometrist, optometric glaucoma and low vision specialist.  Dr. Nikahd earned her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  Dr. Nikahd was also a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society in optometry school.  Her undergraduate work was at the University of Texas at Austin where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. She has participated in published vision research programs prior and during optometry school. After graduating from optometry school she completed a residency program at the Center for the Partially Sighted focusing on low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Nikahd has been a presenter at both the American Academy of Optometry meeting and Optometry’s Meeting on low vision topics.  She enjoys volunteer work and has been involved with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), and Lions club in the past. In her spare time she likes to hike, explore new restaurants, and spend time with friends and family.
